Overview
This website is operated by Galerie 1950. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Galerie 1950. By visiting our site or purchasing from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all users, including browsers, vendors, and customers.
Section 1 – Curation Service & Product Availability
We specialize in sourcing and curating unique vintage items and antiques.
- Inventory Status: Some products are No Physical Stock. We do not hold physical inventory for all items displayed. Our service consists of curating, inspecting, and securing these pieces from third-party sources.
- Request to Purchase: Your order constitutes a “Request to Purchase.” Every order is subject to a 48 to 72-hour availability and quality check.
- Order Cancellation: If an item has been sold by the original source or no longer meets our quality standards prior to our pickup, we reserve the right to cancel your order and issue a 100% immediate refund. No further compensation or interest shall be due.
Section 2 – Vintage Condition & Accuracy
- “As-Is” Sales: All items are vintage or antique. By nature, they possess a historical patina, signs of wear, or minor imperfections. They are sold strictly “as-is.”
- Descriptions: We strive for maximum accuracy in descriptions and photographs. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions or other content are error-free. Colors may vary depending on your monitor settings.
- Authenticity: We provide our expert opinion on the period and style of each item, based on our research and the information provided by the source.
Section 3 – Pricing & Payment
- Price Fluctuations: Prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time.
- Import Duties: For international orders outside the European Union, the buyer is solely responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and administrative fees.
Section 4 – Shipping, Handling & Risk
- Third-Party Carriers: We act as an intermediary to organize professional packing and specialized transport.
- Transfer of Risk: Once the item is handed over to the carrier, the risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer. We strongly advise customers to request insured shipping for high-value pieces.
- Delivery Estimates: Shipping times are estimates and may vary based on the item’s location and the complexity of professional crating.
Section 5 – Right of Refusal
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order.
Section 6 – Limitation of Liability
Galerie 1950 shall not be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind, including lost profits or replacement costs, arising from your use of the service or any products procured through our curation.
Section 7 – Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Paris, France. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris.
